Fine Jewelry Assistant Manager

About Ore + the Team:

Founded in 2013 by designer Sophie Hughes, Ore is a curated boutique of independently-designed fine jewelry from around the country. Each piece of jewelry at Ore has been thoughtfully designed and handmade in limited quantities. Our team is a handful of young, independent women with a creative spirit. We strive for a dynamic environment that we enjoy working in!

The Role:

Our priority is creating an outstanding client experience - forging genuine connections with clients to guide them in selecting their perfect pieces. The role entails a wide range of responsibilities including retail sales, clienteling, merchandising, assistant-buying, styling, and supporting daily operations.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Vibrant personality who meets clients on their frequency to get them excited about what we do - outgoing, engaging, and a natural with people

  • Keen memory for faces, conversations and details - a human sponge who absorbs information as a second nature

  • Quick learner, so you can be informative and knowledgeable about our products when assisting clients

  • Sharp, attentive, motivated, and dependable

  • Can-do, collaborative attitude - excited to jump in and assist wherever needed in a creative, spontaneous environment

  • Strong communication skills, organization, and multi-tasking ability, with reliable follow-through

  • A high level of personal taste and styling ability

We have flexibility to make this a full-time or part-time position for the right candidate. We promote from within, so there is great potential to grow and evolve here as you gain responsibility. Compensation is negotiable. The position will primarily be at a new location, in a central area of Boston directly off the T line.

  • A jewelry background is not required, though appreciated. We can teach you all about our products and processes, but we need you to know how to sell and provide an exceptional customer experience.

  • Background in boutique/luxury retail or in creative/design fields is appreciated, as is excitement for independent brands, handmade goods, and design.

  • Bachelor’s degree (in process or completed)
