Founded in 2009 on the pillars of sincere sustainability, thoughtful design, and expert craftsmanship, Sophie Hughes sees jewelry as a vessel to carry your stories, your love, and your experiences. We create precious talismans to be treasured through time, day in and day out, and we’re deeply honored that our work allows us to be part of some of the most beautiful moments of our clients’ lives.

For over a decade Sophie has honed her exceptional artistry. Her innate creativity and eclectic influences yield distinctive sleek designs, distinguished by just-so curves and nuanced details for a discerning eye. Crafted by hand, each piece is rendered unique while exuding a timeless sense of style.

Sophie approaches designing as an experimental inquiry, and custom commissions as puzzles to collaboratively solve with her clients. Sophie’s award-winning design aesthetic has resonated with a loyal and growing clientele, and has garnered attention from prestigious publications like Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour, Elle, and InStyle.

Meet the Designer

The incredible vistas of rocky, oceanfront cliffs from her childhood on the Maine coast forged Sophie’s early reverence for nature. In this rugged landscape, she discovered her passion for crafting precious, miniature, wearable sculptures.

Sophie followed her path through a BFA in Metalsmithing at MassArt, to the 2009 founding of her first studio in Boston's South End, and her showroom in 2013. Through the evolution, Sophie remains enamored with the artist’s hands-on approach to process and craft. Sophie is a proud member of Ethical Metalsmiths, a group working to improve ethics and sustainability across all facets of the jewelry industry.
